Ayumu Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Ayumu when you use the app. Like our privacy policy, they are written plainly rather than in legal boilerplate. By creating an account or using Ayumu, you agree to them.

1. What Ayumu is

Ayumu is a personal self-care app: journals, mood check-ins, workouts, meals, water, sleep, meditation, breathwork, reading and daily planning, with streaks, XP and levels to keep you going. It is a tool for building your own habits around your own life.

Ayumu is not medical advice. Nothing in the app — including calorie targets, workout suggestions, breathing exercises or mood tracking — is medical, psychological or nutritional advice, and Ayumu is not a healthcare provider. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are struggling with your mental health, talk to a qualified professional before relying on anything the app suggests. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services.

2. Your account

You need an account with a working email address to use Ayumu, and you must be at least 13 years old. Keep your password to yourself — anything done while signed in to your account counts as done by you. If you think someone else has your password, reset it from the sign-in screen.

3. Your content stays yours

Everything you record — journals, photos, workouts, notes — belongs to you. You give us only the permission we need to store it and show it back to you; we claim no other rights over it, and our privacy policy governs how it is handled. Your chosen "dream name" (never your real name or entries) is what other people see: your friends, and everyone on the leaderboard if you join it.

Meditation and yoga videos are played with YouTube. Ayumu uses YouTube API Services, and by watching a video in Ayumu you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.

4. Fair use

Don't break the app or spoil it for others: no attempting to access other people's data, no abusive or unlawful content, no automated scraping or bulk account creation, and no reverse-engineering or reselling the service. We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.

5. Community and content

Ayumu has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. In particular:

6. Invite rewards

You can invite friends with your code. When someone new joins with it and uses Ayumu on 3 different days within their first 14 days, you both get 50 XP, once. You can be rewarded for up to 10 invites. Until the reward is paid, you can see how many days your new friend has used Ayumu (a count only, never what they logged). XP has no cash value. Rewards earned through fake or duplicate accounts, or other gaming of the system, may be removed.

7. Price

Ayumu is currently free, with no ads. If that ever changes, existing users will be told clearly inside the app before anything costs money.

8. Availability and honesty about limits

We work to keep Ayumu reliable, but it is provided "as is": we cannot promise it will never be down, lose a sync, or be free of bugs. Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected to the app is limited to the amount you have paid us for it — which, today, is nothing.

9. Leaving

You can delete your account and every piece of your data at any time, either inside the app (Profile → Delete account) or by following these steps. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and say so in the app. Continuing to use Ayumu after that means you accept the new terms.

11. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Questions, complaints or anything else: hello@ayumu.app.
